Winning big with expert play

It is my honour to tell our community around the world that I could play you all guys into the ground... What a nice idiom, isn't it? I won the beautiful amount of 29,- Euros, although my full house lost one time against Mr. S' four of a kind:-( And then there was Mr. S' huge bluff: He folded and pretended not to have known that he was the big blind. When Mr. G gave him this information, he stayed in the game. Two queens and a Jack flopped. And with my Jack in the pocket I had two nice pairs. I bet and Mr. S raised as high as he could. I thought he bluffed but he didn't. Finally he won with his queen (!) about approx. 8 - 10 Euros.

Tournament @ regular poker session

This time we went for a little Tournament at the regular poker session this time held at Mr. T.`s house. Inspiration came from last weeks great experience at the BA-Hotel as described in the last entry by Mr. A..
We were only three players but we had a lot of fun:

I especially remember an "All-In" situation between Mr. T. and me before the flop. Mr. T. offered an "All-In". I agreed with a pair of 5s on the hand. Mr. T. showed up with pocket kings. My chances were a little low until on the river another 5 flopped.

Maybe we should play tournament from time to time at the regular sessions for practice reasons.

Tournament at BA-Hotel in Nuremberg

Hey @ all,

Last week Ducks22 and me took part in the weekly poker tournament at BA-Hotel in Nurmemberg. You see nice pics of Ducks22 (with sunglasses!), the dealer (as a dealer should look like) and the poker room.

The buy-in was 15 €. You can win no monies, but only matters-prices (Sachpreise). I bought in two times, one time at a 10 persons table, one time at a 12 persons table. You receive 1.500 points and the first blinds are 25/50. They double every 10 minutes. You play until only one person is left. This lasts approx. 3/4 hour.

Only the first one at the table receives a red button, which entitles him to take part at the final table. The runner-up obtains a free-roll. I became 4th of 10 and 8th of 12. So, to sum up I lost 30 €... Ducks22 did well, too. He became 8th of 10, 6th of twelve and - he played a third table, but I don't remember with what success (sorry Ducks22). So, he lost 45 €...

The ambience was really cool and we were very excited, not only at the beginning. The first few rounds my hands trembled.

This upcoming wednesday the braodcast station "Pro 7" will be at the BA-Hotel to report on the poker tournaments taking place there...

CU then,

Mr. A
