First session 2006

The date for the first session in 2006 seems to be fixed: On Sat 7 Jan we are invited to Mr. G's place. Two fish..., sorry rookies, are presumably going to join us. We are looking forward to that!

A Real Fat Pot

On Saturday, December 17 at Mr. T's home the Bavaria hold'em members Ducks22, Mr. A and Mr. T made the pot real fat. Raising the bets up to 0,40 / 0,80 € we played low-limit-hold'em up to 2 o'clock in the morning when Mr. T's bankroll was completly consumed. Ducks22, who invested in 2 bakrolls coming to 30 €, and Mr. A then started a no-limit heads-up final. Nobody played all in, however the bets raised and after an hour Ducks22 quitted.

Both Mr. T and Ducks22 suffered from big hands. While Mr. T had to see his full house beaten by Ducks22's bigger full house, Ducks22 suffered from a straight not seeing that a possible flush (made by Mr. A) could beat his hand.

After terrifying 6 hours Mr. A's chips came to 44,- €, reduced by his 15,- € bankroll his net profit amounted to 29,- €. The profit already was invested into a taxi home (20,- €) and a good meal (Mc Donald's, the other 9,- €).

My First Time

When Mr. T left us after his "terrible" loss at 2.30 am - which wasnt that terrible at all - Mr. A and me decided to go for a heads-up-final-no-limit for the first time. It didnt run that good for me as I made some terrible mistakes in that completly different way of playing.
No wonder my loss was more than Mr. T`s terrible one in the end.

What a loss... I leave it to the winner to describe what happened yesterday. P.S. We doubled the limits and played 0,40/0,80 €.

Last call

This is the last call for our next Poker session: We are playing at my place in Hersbruck at 8 pm on Friday. Up to now Mr. A and Duck 22 have confirmed their participation.

Thank you for the TV tip, Mr G. Indeed, the German sports channel "DSF" broadcasts the UK Poker Open from Luton this Thursday, 8,15 pm. Unfortunately I am abroad at this time - hopefully in a casino in Barcelona.
